MINUTES OF THE FINANCE AND GENERAL PURPOSES COMMITTEE OF THE STOKE POGES PARISH COUNCIL HELD ON MONDAY 12 JUNE 2017 AT 8.55 P.M. FOLLOWING THE FULL PARISH COUNCIL MEETING IN THE LIONEL RIGBY ROOM AT THE VILLAGE CENTRE, STOKE POGES, SL2 4LP

 

Present:-  Cllr Fox, (Chair), Cllr Bagge, Cllr Crocker, Cllr Finan, Cllr Hoskins & Cllr Lynch.

MINUTES

 

001/F/17          To Elect a Chairman for Finance for the coming year 17/18.

Cllr Finan proposed that Cllr Fox be Chairman for the coming year, this was seconded by Cllr Bagge, RESOLVED to agree, all in favour.

 

002/F/17          To Elect a Vice Chairman for Finance for the coming year 17/18.

Cllr Cocker proposed that Cllr Lynch be Vice Chairman for the coming year, this was seconded by Cllr Finan,  RESOLVED to agree, all in favour.

 

003/F/17          Apologies for Absence

APOLOGIES were received from Cllr Carter.

        

004/F/17           Declarations of Interest

Members to declare any personal interest in any item of business as defined in the Code of Conduct 2012.  If that interest is a disclosable pecuniary interest as defined in the Code; the member should withdraw from the meeting for that item.

005/F/17          Minutes

RESOLVED to approve the minutes of the meeting held on 28 November 2016 which were signed by the

Chairman.

 

006/F/17          Projects/Reserves/General Fund

NOTED reserves and finances following the audit. RESOLVED not to make any changes or cancellation of any existing Reserves and / or any changes to the sums held.

 

007/F/17          Approval of Internal Auditor

REOSLVED to approve Mr B T Dancer as internal auditor for 16/17. 17/18. 18/19 & 19/20 all in favour.

 

008/F/17          Bad Debt

Courthouse Clinics who advertised in the SPN went into liquidation owing £210.  Liquidators have sent a cheque for £10.50.  Cllr Finan proposed to agree to write off the balance of £199.50, this was seconded by Cllr Lynch, RESOLVED to agree all in favour.

 

009/F/17          Bank Accounts

Cllr Finan proposed to close the Barclays Bank Account as advised by the auditor, this was seconded by Cllr Crocker, RESOLVED to agree all in favour.

 

010/F/17          NOTED Date of next meeting: – 13 November 2017
