For Immediate Release Former Gerrards Cross Police station site redevelopment – have your say
In March 2017 South Bucks District Council purchased the former Gerrards Cross Police station site for redevelopment.
Councillor Barbara Gibbs, South Bucks’ Cabinet Member for Resources said: “Exciting plans have been developed by the Council to provide 34 apartments of which 14 will help towards meeting affordable housing needs.”
Before the planning application is submitted at the end of December, we would like to show people the proposed scheme. We have arranged for display boards to be set up in the reception area at the South Bucks District Council offices (Capswood), Oxford Road, Denham UB9 4LH from 1 December to 15 December 2017 during the SBDC office opening hours (9am to 5pm). Arrangements are also being made, with Parish clerks, for display boards to be set up at local Parish Council offices in Gerrards Cross and Denham. We have set up an area on our website – www.southbucks.gov.uk/GXpolice-stn-redevelop where you can find the details of the proposals and leave your comments. We will seek to address comments received, where possible, before the planning application is submitted.
The project costs are now being finalised and the scheme will be subject to approval by the SBDC Cabinet, early next year. We have had initial discussions with the planning officers to ensure we have produced a scheme that will be in keeping with and enhance this residential area. During the planning application process there will be an additional opportunity to comment on the proposals.
If planning permission is granted, work is expected to start in July 2018 and be completed by August 2019.
