022/RE/18  Minutes

To approve the minutes of the R&E Committee held on 25 June 2018 (previously distributed)

 

023/RE/18  Football Bells Hill

To discuss trial of teas and coffees being extended until end of the season as not started yet!

To note the football manager is nearly ready to introduce kid’s football on a Sunday and is happy to continue to pay for the slot.

To note that they sometimes use a Sunday morning to video some football techniques for their website and use the changing rooms for this purpose.

 

024/RE/18  Nettleship Wood

Update on Frank Solari field and agree what to do with it next.

 

025/RE/18           Bells Hill and Plough Lane Recreation Grounds

MUGA to agree to do something about the rattling of the MUGA walls which disturbes the neighbours.  Quote to be tabled.

Wooden sleepers have rotted away, to agree to them being replaced with re-cycled sleepers, quote to be tabled.

 

To note jogging trail finished 14 September 2018.

 

 

026/RE/18  Pavilion

To note cleaning of the fascia boards and painting the inside of the pavilion hall has been carried out satisfactorily over the summer months.

 

027/RE/18  Bells Hill Green

Update on Friends of Bells Hill working party.

 

To decide any further works and costs.

 

028/RE/18           Allotments

Update from Cllr Cox on allotments.

 

To note that the gate is contiuously left open or unlocked even though the padlock and keys have been changed to make locking much easier.  To decide any action.

 

To agree to add to the allotment agreement that the gate must always be kept closed and locked at all times.

 

To note that the clerk is constantly asked if the top barrier can be opened to allow chippings to be delivered.  It was agreed never to open the top unless in an emergency situation, to decide if this can be allowed.

 

029/RE/18  Tree Inspections on Duffield Lane

To note that tree works are still being carried out as agreed at the last meeting.

 

030/RE/18           Christmas Lights Ceremony/Bells Hill Green

To note that lights will be installed and switched on before or no later than 1 December 2018.

All paper work and risk assessments and road closures are in place for the ceremony on Friday 7 December 2018, event is exactly the same as last year as agreed in January 2018.

To decide to refurbish the sleigh and agree an amount to spend.

To decide any further action.

 

031/RE/18  Litter Picking Event

To decide on any more litter picking dates.

 

032/RE/18  Outdoor Cinema 7 September 2019

To note that the contract is signed for 7 September 2019. To decide on any film choices to take to Full Council for decision.

 

033/RE/18  125 Year Anniversary – Picnic in the park.

To make any further decisions for 7 July 2019.

Football Teams

To consider and decide annual rent costs for 2019/20 for budgets for all teams.

Paddocks

To consider and decide rent costs for grazing contracts and annual increase for 2019/20 for budget.

Pavilion

To consider and decide annual rent costs for 2019/20 in new pavilion for budgets for all Uniformed groups.

Allotments

To consider and decide rent costs and annual increase for 2019 for budget.

Tennis Club

To consider and decide rent costs and annual increase for 2019/20 for budget.

Playground Inspections/Litter Picking

To consider and decide on any annual increase for 2019/20 for budget.

Pavilion Management

To consider and decide on any annual increase for 2019/20 for budget.

 

036/RE/18  Grass Cutting Contracts

To agree yearly rolling contract rates for 2019/20 from Albert Huber Ltd. Circulated.

 

037/PC/18  Weed Killing 2019/20

To agree to continue with verge weed killing twice yearly at £450 per application.  Quotation through

Progress Services and work carried out by The Whitby Partnership via our preferred method.  To agree whether to continue yearly or bring back each October for decision.

 

038/PC/18  Re siting of Benches

To agree to accept quote from Mayflower landscape to re install the benches from Bells Hill Green into the recreation grounds, quote £495 circulated.  To note that the contractor is going to upgrade the benches free of charge prior to installation if accepted.

 

039/PC/18  Bells Hill Recreation Ground Charity

To note that we will not be opening a bank account for the recreation ground.

 

040/PC/18  Finance Budgets 19/20

To note and agree budgets for 19/20. Circulated
