One member of public spoke about the Khalsa School and the new trust which they were involved in and gave a briefing on how the trust would run if they were accepted as a replacement for the existing trust which has had its funding agreement terminated. Questions were asked by Councillors around whether they would operate as a normal school, whether they would have functions, travel to school, noise, whether existing trustees would be on the new trust. The speaker confirmed that the school would run as any normal school, no additional functions would be held there other than usual school events such as Christmas etc, the travel to school would hopefully change if more local pupils attended, the noise issues would be looked into and under no circumstances would any existing trustees join this new trust.
