Village Information
Stoke Poges is a thriving village community of approximately 2,000 homes; we boast a village church which dates back to Saxon times, many fascinating and important historical buildings and have many open spaces for sport and recreation.
Over the years the community has grown to provide places of worship, medical facilities, community based policing, schools, village shops, and a wide range of activities for the young and old alike as we as numerous clubs and societies – everything from bridge to football. Whatever your interest there is likely to be a group where you’ll be welcome.
The village hosts several annual events, the summer fete, the horticultural show and the Christmas ‘Carols on the Green’, which are great opportunities to meet up with friends and neighbours.
