Stoke Poges Social Club
The Stoke Poges Social Club is a members’ club in the heart of the village. Situated at the back of the Village Centre, accessed by the side door, the club is a busy and thriving community within Stoke Poges. We welcome people of any age from all walks of life, whether you’re new to the area or you were born here.
We are open every night from 7 pm to 11 pm, plus Sunday lunchtimes 12 pm to 3 pm. Membership is £10 a year for over 18s (with a one-off £1 joining fee in your first year) and is payable every January. Once a member, you’re free to pop in as much or as little as you like and to attend all our events.
Because we charge a membership fee, we are able to keep our drink prices lower than anywhere else in the village. With an average saving of 30p per drink, you get a lot more for your money.
There’s something for everyone. Whether you’re looking for a quiet drink, a game of pool or darts or somewhere to bring the kids or grandkids on a rainy Sunday, we’re always happy to help.
We now have wifi which is free for all our members to use. Just come in and ask for the password when you order your drinks. There are also board games and cards available for those looking to pass the time in a more traditional way.
If you’re still not sure, why not come down and try us out? First timers can come in and have a look round, have a drink and chat to the regulars without joining. If you like what you see, ask the bar staff for a membership form. If you don’t, please let us know how we can improve.
The social club is a here for the community and we pride ourselves on bringing together local residents. We have various groups meet at the club socially and after events (table tennis club, bowls club, photographic club). We are open for Carol’s on the car park and also for the Plays when they are held.
If there’s something we could do better, something we could offer that we don’t already have, tell us! We are always looking for new members of staff and committee members with fresh ideas to drive the club forward from difficult times. We are looking forward to a major refurb with furniture too.
