Women’s Institute

Stoke Poges & Wexham Women’s Institute

The WI meet at 2.15pm on the second Wednesday of each month in the Village Centre.

Our speakers reflect a wide range of interests in local history, the arts, travel and the humanities.

Our group belongs to the Beeches Group of W.I.’s comprising George Green, Hedgerley, Stoke Poges & Wexham, Taplow & Hitcham and Templewood. We socialise closely with other groups and enjoy attending garden parties and Christmas events together.

We organise an annual Spring Coffee Morning, a Ploughman’s Lunch in the Summer and each August we arrange a Summer outing, which may be a visit to a Stately Home, or to the seaside, or a museum, or even shopping!

Stoke Poges W.I. was formed in 1918 with over 100 founder members, our aims today remain as they were almost a century ago; to enjoy friendship, to learn, to widen members horizons; and to influence local, national and international affairs.
