Village Charities

Stoke Poges has several long-established charities, originally established to provide relief to parishioners in need. They are still active and welcome applications for assistance. The charities listed below are independent of the Parish Council, however, for further information on how to apply for their support please contact the clerk to the council.

Stoke Poges Lands End Memorial Education Charity

The charity aims to advance the education of  persons resident in Stoke Poges by providing facilities to schools and by making grants to persons under the age of 25 years who are in need of financial assistance.

Stoke Poges United Charity

Relief of persons resident in the area of benefit, being the ancient parish of Stoke Poges and the surrounding area, who are in need, hardship or distress.

Stoke Poges Hastings Community Fund

This charity was formed in 2011 following the merger of the Lord Hastings Hospital Trust and the Stoke Poges Relief In Need charity. Its objects are ‘income to be applied for the relief in need generally or individually for persons in the Stoke Poges parish by way of paying for items, services, facilities etc.’ It provides grants for specific needs. An application form may be obtained from the clerk to the Parish Council or downloaded from the link below.
