What's On in Stoke Poges

We will meet at the flagpole on the village green at 10.40am.

A community group including workshops and information around health and wellbeing.

This project is a collaboration between Stoke Poges Parish Council, Threeways Surgery and NHS Buckinghamshire. Guest speakers and workshops will be planned monthly and there will be an opportunity to speak confidentially if preferred.

This concert will showcase the great tradition of choral writing by British composers in a compilation of works from the 16th century by William Byrd and Thomas Tallis, through to modern day writers including John Rutter and Karl Jenkins. There is no shortage of other great music to choose from the five centuries in between, and there will certainly be some Handel, Elgar, Parry, Vaughn Williams, Britten and Holst.

What better way to kick off the Christmas celebrations than our annual village event!

Timings for the evening are:

• 6pm – Event opens, grotto for 0 to 4 year- olds, stalls open
• 6.45pm – Grotto closes and procession leaves
• 7.15pm – Procession returns and grotto reopens for 5 to 10 year-olds
• 7.30pm – Carol singing
• 8pm – Event closes, but the bar stays open!
• Stalls will remain open throughout the whole event.
