Public spaces for everyone to enjoy
Bells Hill Recreation Ground
This beautiful recreation ground, bought with donations by the people of Stoke Poges in 1927, provides an open space for families and children with swings and an adventure playground with climbing apparatus and zip wire, plus a separate outdoor gym in front of the tennis courts.
Within the park is an all-weather multi-use games area, marked out for football, basketball and netball, opened in 2015 by Sir Matthew Pinsent. There is a superb football pitch and a state-of-the-art pavilion, completed in May 2015, which provides changing facilities and a large hall for use by scout, guide and youth groups. A popular exercise path was introduced in 2018.
Seating pods in the recreation ground provide an area for youths to meet and chat in their own space, with a target shooting wall available for footballers keen to develop their skills.

Village Green
Bells Hill Green is maintained by the Parish Council under a lease agreement with the old South Bucks District Council. We use local contractors to look after the grass, shrubs, hanging baskets and fence planters. Any extra planting and keeping the area tidy is done by volunteers called the Friends of Bells Hill Green.
