Introduction
MINUTES OF THE STOKE POGES FINANCE COMMITTEE MEETING HELD ON MONDAY 24 JUNE 2024 AT 7.30PM, IN THE LIONEL RIGBY ROOM ATTHE VILLAGE CENTRE, ROGERS LANE, STOKE POGES, SL2 4LP.
Present: Cllr Crocker (Chair), Cllr Finan, Cllr Knox-Scott & Cllr Moore.
Agenda Items
001/F/24 Election of Chairman
Cllr Finan proposed Cllr Crocker to be Chairman for the coming year, this was seconded by Cllr Moore, RESOLVED to agree all in favour.
002/F/24 Election of Vice Chairman
Cllr Moore proposed Cllr Knox-Scott to be Vice Chairman for the coming year, this was seconded by Cllr Finan, RESOLVED to agree all in favour.
003/F/24 - Public Session Time (15 Minutes)
The meeting is open to the public and press and fifteen minutes will be reserved, if required, for public comment on items on the agenda.
None.
004/F/24 - Apologies for Absence
APOLOGIES were received from Cllr Bagge & Cllr Carter.
005/F/24 - Declarations of Interest
Members to declare any personal interest in any item of business as defined in the Code of Conduct 2021. If that interest is a disclosable pecuniary interest as defined in the Code; the member should withdraw from the meeting for that item.
None.
006/F/24 - Minutes
RESOLVED to approve the minutes of the meeting held on 8 January 2024 which were signed by
the Chairman.
007/F/24 - Projects/Reserves/General Fund
CONSIDERED monies held in the General Fund and Reserves & Consider any new projects, to make any changes of any existing Reserves and / or any changes to the sums held.
Cllr Finan proposed to make the following additions to existing reserves from the General Fund:
Staff Sickness Reserve – plus £2000
Pavilion Maintenance Reserve – Plus £3000
Green Belt Protection Fund - £75000 from GF
Add a new reserve called Pond Maintenance - £10000
Total from General Fund £90000
To cancel the Anti-littering Fund and add the £10000 into the Green Belt Protection Fund.
This was seconded by Cllr Knox-Scott, RESOLVED to agree all in favour.
It was agreed by all to ask the Full Council about the Covid-19 Funds of £21099 and make a plan to use the fund wisely.
008/F/24 - Bank Accounts
NOTED and understood letter received from Lloyds Bank about the Financial Services Compensation Scheme. This does not apply to small local authorities.
NOTED funds in Lloyd’s bank currently stand at £231000 and Cllr Moore proposed to move £150000 into the CCLA fund, this was seconded by Cllr Knox-Scott, RESOLVED to agree all in favour.
