Introduction

MINUTES OF THE STOKE POGES FINANCE COMMITTEE MEETING HELD ON MONDAY 25 NOVEMBER 2024 AT 7.30PM, IN THE LIONEL RIGBY ROOM ATTHE VILLAGE CENTRE, ROGERS LANE, STOKE POGES, SL2 4LP.

Present: Cllr Crocker (Chair), Cllr Bagge, Cllr Carter, Cllr Finan & Cllr Moore.

In attendance: Mrs J Simmonds (Clerk)

Agenda Items

010/F/24 - Public Session Time (15 Minutes)

The meeting is open to the public and press and fifteen minutes will be reserved, if required, for public comments on items on the agenda.

011/F/24 - Apologies for Absence

APOLOGIES were received from Cllr Knox-Scott

012/F/24 - Declarations of Interest

Members to declare any personal interest in any item of business as defined in the Code of Conduct 2021. If that interest is a disclosable pecuniary interest as defined in the Code, the member should withdraw from the meeting for that item.

Cllr Bagge declared an interest in item 023.

013/F/24 - Minutes

RESOLVED to approve the minutes of the meeting held on 24 June 2024 which were signed by the

Chairman.

014/F/24 - Projects/Reserves/General Fund

CONDISERED money held in the General Fund and Reserves & CONSIDERED any new projects. RESOLVED to agree to make no recommendations to the Council for the cancellation of any existing Reserves and / or any changes to the sums held

015/F/24 – Lloyds Bank

NOTED & AGREED by all with a letter from Lloyds Bank about changing to a chargeable business account, £8.50 Per month.

016/F/24 Stoke Poges Newsletter

The last increase was 2021, Cllr Bagge proposed an increase of 2% to be made to the advertising rates, this was seconded by Cllr Carter, RESOLVED to agree all in favour.

017/F/24 Conference/Training

Cllr Carter proposed to agree with the Clerk attending a training conference in January 2025 and then the Annual Conference in October 2025, this was seconded by Cllr Finan, RESOLVED to agree all in favour.

018/F/24 Budget 2025/2026

Cllr Finan proposed to add £1200 per year to the webmaster budget which was seconded by Cllr Carter.

Cllr Moore proposed to accept the amounts to be included in the budgets for 2025/2026 and put forward a recommendation for the Parish Council Meeting to be held on 2 December 2024, this was seconded by Cllr Finan. RESOLVED to agree all in favour.

019/F/24 Precept

Cllr Bagge proposed that the recommended Precept requirement for 2025/26 stay the same as last year £182102.89 for approval by the Parish Council Meeting to be held on 2 December 2024, this was seconded by Cllr Finan, RESOLVED to agree all in favour.

020/F/24 Exclusion of the Press & Public

Public Bodies (Admission to Meetings) Act 1960 RESOLVED by allto exclude the press and public from the following business because publicity would prejudice the public interest by reason of the confidential nature of the business.

021/F/24 Stoke Poges Newsletter

Cllr Finan proposed to agree to increase the Layout Editing cost to £800 per edition, this was seconded by Cllr Moore, RESOLVED to agree all in favour.

022/F/24 NOTED that the staff appraisal took place on 7 November 2024.

023/F/24 Staff Pension

A recommendation was made, and it was RESOLVED to agree all in favour.
