Introduction

MINUTES OF THE STOKE POGES FINANCE COMMITTEE MEETING HELD ONWEDNESDAY 29 NOVEMBER 2023 AT 2.30PM, IN THE LIONEL RIGBY ROOM ATTHE VILLAGE CENTRE, ROGERS LANE, STOKE POGES, SL2 4LP.

Present: -Cllr Crocker (Chair), Cllr Bagge, Cllr Carter & Cllr Knox-Scott.

In Attendance: - Mrs. J Simmonds (Clerk)

011/F/23 Public Session Time (15 Minutes)

The meeting is open to the public and press and fifteen minutes will be reserved, if required, for public comment on items on the agenda.

012/F/23 Apologies for Absence

APOLOGIES were received from Cllr Moore.

013/F/23 Declarations of Interest

Members to declare any personal interest in any item of business as defined in the Code of Conduct 2021. If that interest is a disclosable pecuniary interest as defined in the Code; the member should withdraw from the meeting for that item.

014/F/23 Minutes

RESOLVED to approve the minutes of the meeting held on 3 July 2023 which were signed by the Chairman.

015/F/23 Projects/Reserves/General Fund

CONSIDERED monies held in the General Fund and Reserves & Consider any new projects. RESOLVED all in favour not to make any recommendations to the Council for the cancellation of any existing Reserves and / or any changes to the sums held.

016/F/23 Bank Accounts

Cllr Carter proposed leaving the funds in the Lloyds account as they are for the time being and to look at this again at the next meeting, this was seconded by Cllr Knox-Scott. RESOLVED to agree all in favour.

017/F/23 Stoke Poges Newsletter

Cllr Bagge proposed that no increases be made to the advertising rates, layout and orientation fees and not to pay for proof reading, this was seconded by Cllr Carter, RESOLVED to agree all in favour.

018/F/23 Budget 2024/2025

CONSIDERED amounts to be included in the budgets for 2024/2025. Cllr Knox-Scott proposed to put forward a recommendation for the Parish Council Meeting to be held on 4 December 2023 to agree to accept the budgets as discussed, this was seconded by Cllr Bagge, RESOLVED to agree all in favour.

019/F/23 Precept

Cllr Carter proposed that the recommend Precept requirement for 2024/25 be reduced from last year’s figure by 10% to £182102.89 for approval by the Parish Council Meeting to be held on 4 December 2023, this was seconded by Cllr Bagge. RESOLVED to agree all in favour.

020/F/23 Exclusion of the Press & Public

Public Bodies (Admission to Meetings) Act 1960 RESOLVED to exclude the press and public from the following business because publicity would prejudice the public interest by reason of the confidential nature of the business.
