Introduction
MINUTES OF THE FULL PARISH COUNCIL MEETING OF THE STOKE POGES PARISH COUNCIL HELD ON MONDAY 7 APRIL 2025 AT 7.40PM (FOLLOWING THE ANNUAL MEETING OF ELECTORATE IN THE MAIN HALL), IN THE LIONEL RIGBY ROOM AT THE VILLAGE CENTRE, ROGERS LANE, STOKE POGES BUCKS, SL2 4LP.
Present: Cllr Carter (Chair), Cllr Bassi, Cllr Cox, Cllr Crocker, Cllr Finan, Cllr Moore & Cllr Webster

238/PC/25 - Apologies and Acceptance for Absence.
APOLOGIES were received and accepted for Cllr Bagge, Cllr Knox-Scott and Cllr Pritchard.
239/PC/25 - Declarations of interest
Members to declare any personal interest in any item of business as defined in the Code of Conduct adopted 2021. If that interest is a disclosable pecuniary interest as defined in the Code, the member should withdraw from the meeting for that item.

240/PC/25 - Minutes
RESOLVED to approve the minutes of the Council meeting held on 10 March 2025 which were signed by the Chair.
241/PC/25 – Beeches Community Board
Nothing to update from Cllr Bassi, no meetings until after the election.
Cllr Cocker reported that there were 33 people in attendance at the Simply Walking initiative meeting held on 1 April 2025. The next step is another meeting with the volunteers and some training. The officer said they had never had so many volunteers before.
242/PC/25 - Buckinghamshire Council Report
No report.
243/PC/25 – Chairman’s/Councilor’s Update from last meeting.
Cllr Carter reported that the Stoke Poges Friday Club was increasing in numbers and that a boat trip has been arranged for May 25.
244/PC/25– Neighbourhood Plan
An update from Cllr Carter was that there has been a pushback from Buckinghamshire Council on the Green Credentials. The PC needs to decide if it agrees with BC or not. Communication was helped with Cllr Egleton who contacted officers to help us get an answer.
245/PC/25 - Proposal to extend the Conservation Area in Stoke Poges
NOTED the email acceptance received for work to be carried out next year.
246/PC/25 – Village Halls Week
Update on the event held on 22 March 2025. The event was very well attended and well organised and signage was really good to get around. Thanks to the Chairman of the Village Hall for his work in putting this together, feedback was good.
247/PC/25 - VE Day (80 Years) 8 May 2025 – VJ Day (80 Years) 15 August 2025
Cllr Bassi confirmed that the singers will do the same as at the last event and sign after the beacon lighting in the club. They have confirmed that they cannot do it in August. Cllr Finan will take care of the lighting of beacon for 8 May 2025. Deputy Lord Lieutenant Andrew Smith has offered to attend the event and contribute. Cllr Carter and Cllr. Crocker will liaise with him.
Cllr Webster proposed that we purchase 150 pin badges for the event at £1.10 each, plus a new flag and the plastic rounds for the posts, this was seconded by Cllr Finan, RESOLVED 5-2.
248/PC/25 – Reception 21 March 2025
The event was very well attended and went well, Cllrs thanked Cllr Carter for doing a great job. It was agreed by all that no dogs should be allowed into the venue.
249/PC/25 – Electronic Notice Board
Update on questionnaire. So far 56 have been returned. Deadline 30 April, data will be crunched and results to be taken to the May 2025 meeting.

NOTED the meeting dates for 2025/2026 council year.
251/PC/25 – Horticultural Show and Fete
RESOLVED to agree, all in favour of parking in Bells Hill Recreation Ground for this year’s shows, same criteria as always.
252/PC/25 – Artisan Market 5 April 2025
It was agreed that this was a good event and an email from the trustees of the Village Hall read out, thanking the Parish Council for their input. The feedback from vendors was good. Next event 6 September 2025.

Cllr Carter, Cllr Crocker and the Clerk met with the agent for the buyers.
