Introduction

MINUTES OF THE STOKE POGES HR COMMITTEE MEETING TO BE HELD ON TUESDAY 20 JANAURY 2026 AT 4.00PM, IN THE LIONEL RIGBY ROOM AT THE VILLAGE CENTRE, ROGERS LANE, STOKE POGES, SL2 4LP.

Present: Cllr Harwood (Chair), Cllr Carter & Cllr Crocker

022/HR/26 - Public Session Time (15 Minutes)

The meeting is open to the public and press and fifteen minutes will be reserved, if required, for public comments on items on the agenda.

023/HR/26 - Apologies and Acceptance for Absence

None

024/HR/26 - Declarations of Interest

Members to declare any personal interest in any item of business as defined in the Code of Conduct 2021. If that interest is a disclosable pecuniary interest as defined in the Code, the member should withdraw from the meeting for that item.

025/HR/26 - Minutes

RESOLVED to approve the minutes of the Council meeting held on 30 July 2025 and 8 October 2025 which were signed by the Chair.

026/HR/26 Exclusion of the Press & Public

Public Bodies (Admission to Meetings) Act 1960 RESOLVED to exclude the press and public from the following business because publicity would prejudice the public interest by reason of the confidential nature of the business.

027/HR/26 – Review Procedure Documents. To discuss and make any decisions.

Job Description Clerk & RFO. Draft previously circulated – AGREED by all that the Clerk will sit down with Cllr Harwood and go through these together.

Contract current and proposed and The Green Book. Draft previously circulated – AGREED by all that the Clerk will sit down with Cllr Hardwood and go through these together.

Outside advice. Now we are members of BMKALC we can ask for any advice. NOTED that the outside advice does not exist and it is down to the Council and this committee to agree the above based on the NALC templates.

028/HR/26 – Policies and Standing Orders

NOTED that the policies have not been looked at yet by the Clerk, NOTED that the outside advice BMKALC does not exist and it is down to the Council and this committee to agree the above based on the NALC templates. Clerk to send all policies to Cllr Harwood and then to go through them together and then for the Full Council to agree them in May.

029/HR/26 – Title

Cllr Carter proposed to change the title from Clerk to Clerk & Legal & Financial Officer, this was seconded by Cllr Crocker, RESOLVED to agree all in favour.

030/HR/26 – Clerks Salary

DISCUSSED AND DECIDED.

031/HR/26 - Date of next meeting: TBA.
